We just launched a new Qlik Sense Business Analysis module called Qlik GeoAnalytics Aggregate Operations. This module will explore the Aggregate GeoSpatial Operations offered with the Qlik GeoAnalytics package. In this module, you will be able to:
- Analyze large point datasets that include thousands of records
- Configure and process the Binning and Cluster operations using the Qlik GeoAnalytics Connector
- Create a drill-down master dimension and apply it to a Qlik GeoAnalytics map
This module is roughly 100 minutes long. Click here to go directly to the module.
We just launched a new QlikView module called Aggregating with AGGR(). This module appears in the Create Visualizations pathway for Business Users. This module will investigate the QlikView Aggr() function. Aggr() returns an array of values for the expression calculated over the stated dimension or dimensions. For example, the maximum value of sales, per customer, per region. The Aggr function is used for advanced aggregations, in which the Aggrfunction is enclosed in another aggregation function, using the array of results from the Aggr function as input to the aggregation in which it is nested. In this module, you will be able to:
- Understand what service the AGGR() function performs
- Appreciate why aggregating data within sheet objects is important
- Explore use cases for aggregating data at run time
- Practice using the AGGR() function
We just launched a new Qlik Sense module called Data Manager Associations and Concatenations. This module appears in the New User pathway for Data Architects and the Loading Data pathway for Business Analysts. This module teaches you how to use the associations bubble view, located within the Data manager, to create and evaluate associations between tables. You will also be shown how tables are automatically concatenated, or how you can force a concatenation between two tables, in order to merge the rows together into a single table. In this module, you will be able to:
- Apply the unique graphical user interface displaying bubbles and links
- Create custom associations despite recommendations
- Merge rows from separate tables to form a single concatenated table
We just launched a new Qlik Sense Business Analysis module called Create Map Layers. Map Layers are part of the Qlik GeoAnalytics product. This module will introduce you to the six map layer types, including bubble, area, line, heatmap, chart, and geodata. In this module, you will be able to:
- Differentiate Qlik GeoAnalytics from the basic Qlik Sense map chart
- Create map charts configured with each of the layers
- Understand the concept of ‘Location ID’
- Explore several map layers using a multi-layered approach
- Learn the rules and logic for defining dimensions and measures
This module is roughly 105 minutes long. Click here to go directly to the module.

We just launched a new Qlik Sense Business Analysis module called Create Distribution Plots. Distribution Plots were recently added to the visualization toolkit of Qlik Sense in the June 2017 release and are a great visual to use during explanatory data analysis, especially when looking at the data's range and distribution across various categories. In this module, you will be able to:
- Appreciate the utility of distribution plots
- Understand distribution plot properties
- Create distribution plots with different configurations

We just launched a new Qlik Sense Business Analysis module called Create Histograms. Histograms were recently added to the visualization toolkit of Qlik Sense in the June 2017 release and are a great visual to when comparing distributions. Unlike Bar Charts, which look similar, Histograms plot quantitative data, with the ranges grouped into bins (Bar Charts plot categorical data). In this module, you will be able to:
- Appreciate the utility of histograms
- Understand histogram properties
- Create histograms with different configurations

We just launched a new Qlik Sense Business Analysis module called Create Box Plots. Box Plots were recently added to the visualization toolkit of Qlik Sense in the June 2017 release and are a great visual to use during explanatory data analysis, especially when looking at the data's shape and distribution. It allows users to easily compare data from different categories. In this module, you will be able to:
- Appreciate the utility of box plots
- Interpret box plot symbols
- Understand box plot properties
- Create box plots with different configurations
This module is roughly 80 minutes long. Click here to go directly to the module.
We recently launched a new competency for Qlik Sense Business Analyst: GeoAnalytics. The first module is live now, and is called Introduction to GeoAnalytics. GeoAnalytics is an advanced suite of location intelligence tools. In this first module, you will be able to:
- Differentiate Qlik GeoAnalytics from the basic Qlik Sense map chart
- Explore several map layers using a multi-layered approach
- Learn about the potential of Qlik GeoAnalytics operations
- Review a drill-down map with a binning operation
- Interact with Qlik GeoAnalytics animator control
This module is roughly 60 minutes long and is completely FREE for anyone as part of our freemium offering. Click here to go directly to the module.
