Currently some of the challenges of gaining insights of data is being able to understand if the source of data is correct. Is the quality of the data dependable to use for insights and if the data source has been transformed to remove bad data.

Totally agree. Companies don't think about investing into a Data management strategy until they actually hit the challenges like identifying right resources, make data available at right time, data available in right place, data available in right context and data available in right format. Cherry on the top is the quality part of it which is often ignored until the last moment.
So its better to invest in right technologies to save time, cost and efforts for data management that to have accurate insights for business decisions.
